Set your piece on any junction of the board to begin the game. Take turns turns with your opponent, placing one stone per turn. Encapsulate your opponent's stones entirely to capture them from the board. Command more territory than your opponent by the end of the game to succeed. Utilize strategy to prevent your opponent's moves while expanding your own territory. Note that stones are fixed once placed, unless captured. The match finishes when both players skip their turns consecutively, indicating no more actions can advantage either side.
